These terms and conditions are designed to ensure each guest enjoys a relaxed, safe, and thoroughly enjoyable time at Cae Du. By placing a booking, you confirm your acceptance of these terms in full. We look forward to welcoming you!
1. Access to the Site
- Entrance Hours: You may enter the site from 13:30pm to 8:00pm on your arrival day to check in. Outside of these times, please arrange in advance.
- Customer Barrier: To preserve nighttime tranquillity, our entrance barrier closes at 10:30pm. It will reopen again at 7:30am the following morning.
- Exiting Anytime: The exit barrier remains open at all hours to allow guests to leave the site even after check-in hours.
2. Ball Games & Frisbees
- For safety and noise control, ball games and frisbees are not permitted near pitches or communal areas.
- A dedicated Family Zone is available for these activities, clearly marked on the site map and located away from camping units.
3. Bins & Recycling
- Please help us keep the park clean and eco-friendly by using the bins provided for general waste and recycling.
- Carry rubbish to the nearest bin if one is not within easy reach and keep your pitch tidy throughout your stay.
4. Bookings
- Deposit Required: A £50 non-refundable deposit is needed to secure any booking.
- Balance Due: Remaining payments are due 28 days prior to arrival. If not received, we may release your pitch with no refund.
- Pitch Requests: We welcome requests for specific pitches. While we'll do our best to honour them, availability and pre-allocation mean these cannot be guaranteed.
- Responsibility: The individual making the booking must be over 18 and is responsible for all members of their party.
- Unit & Party Limits: Only one sleeping unit per pitch is allowed. Maximum of 4 people per pitch. Additional pitches are required for larger parties.
- Accuracy of Information: Please provide accurate details of your unit size and planned number of occupants to ensure proper pitch allocation.
- Non-Transferable Bookings: All monies paid are non-transferable and non-refundable for any reason.
5. Pitching Details
- Reception will guide you to your assigned pitch on arrival. Please pitch precisely as directed to maintain fire breaks and guest privacy across pitches.
- Structures, including awnings and gazebos, must remain within your allocated space and not encroach on neighbours.
- On grass pitches, a breathable groundsheet is required to protect the turf.
- Using electricity to charge vehicles is strictly prohibited.
- You’re responsible for the safety and suitability of all your electrical appliances; Cae Du cannot accept liability for fault or damage.
6. Fires & BBQs
- BBQs (on stands) and raised firepits (available to hire) are allowed as long as they leave no scorch marks on the grass.
- Open fires or direct ground fires are prohibited to protect the environment.
- Please ensure all embers and BBQ residues are fully cooled before disposing them in bins designated ‘BBQ’.
- Fire pit hire and firewood purchases are available between 9:30am and 5pm from reception (no rentals after 5pm).
- Fire extinguishers are located throughout the site—please position your BBQ a safe distance from your unit and supervise at all times.
7. Check-In & Check-Out
- Check-in is open daily from 13:30pm to 8:00pm. Contact us if you anticipate arriving later.
- Camping/Touring visitors should check out by 11:00am.
- A late check-out option is available until 5:00pm for £20, subject to availability—please arrange this on departure morning.
- For rentals (e.g. shepherd huts), check-in is from 4:00pm, and check-out is by 10:00am.
8. Booking Amendments
- With at least 14 days’ notice, we may accommodate date changes—subject to availability.
- A £10 administration fee applies per booking amendment.
- If no alternative is available, cancellations incur no refund.
9. Cancellations & Force Majeure
- All deposits and payments are fully non-refundable, under any circumstances.
- Cancellations must be phoned through immediately, then confirmed in writing.
- We are not liable for circumstances beyond our control (“Force Majeure”)—including, but not limited to: severe weather, flooding, health epidemics, industrial action, or regulatory restrictions.
- We recommend comprehensive travel insurance to protect your reservation and travel plans.
10. Children
- Young visitors must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult—particularly in play areas, near the stream, and on park pathways.
- Please foster respect for our environment by prohibiting climbing on trees or damage to gardens and wildlife.
11. Guest Conduct
- We aim to maintain a peaceful atmosphere—please treat fellow guests and staff with courtesy.
- Discourteous, loud, or abusive behaviour may result in immediate eviction, without refund.
- Staff members are present to address concerns and preserve the guest environment.
12. Noise Policy
- Please keep sound levels moderate throughout your stay.
- After 9:30pm, music and electronics should be turned off to preserve rest and relaxation for others.
13. Day Visitors
- Day visitors are welcome but must register at reception on arrival to ensure the site remains monitored and guests are informed.
14. Dogs & Pets
- Dogs must always be on a lead and under control.
- Please clean up after your dog immediately and place waste in bins located around the site.
- Dogs must not be left unattended or allowed to bark persistently—it must not disturb other guests.
15. Group Bookings
- Cae Du does not permit large group bookings beyond four individuals per pitch.
- For groups with more than four people or requests for multiple pitches, you must contact us in advance at 01766 890660.
- Unapproved or walk-in group arrangements will be refused entry.
16. Prohibited Items
- For safety and harmony, flags, drones, electric scooters, segways, hoverboards, and similar devices are not allowed anywhere on the park.
17. Vehicle Use & Speed Limit
- A strict 5mph speed limit applies across the entire site.
- Drivers must hold valid licenses and insurance.
- No EV charging from site electricity supply. Vehicles needing charge must use public stations outside the park.
18. Washing-Up & Laundry
- Dishwashing is permitted only in designated washing areas—not in toilets or launderette sinks.
- Clothes should be washed and dried exclusively in the launderette.
- Bringing your own washing lines or rotary dryers onto pitches is not permitted.
19. Smoking & Vaping
- Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited within any buildings or accommodation units—including huts and communal shelters.
20. Personal Liability
- Cae Du and staff are not responsible for any injury, theft, loss, or damage to person or property—including vehicles and tents.
- Lost property may be returned after departure if postage is prepaid.
21. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
- These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
- Any disputes arising from your stay or these terms will be resolved under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
- Booking or staying at Cae Du constitutes acceptance of these legal terms and conditions.
Cae Du reserves the right to update or amend these Terms & Conditions at any time—without notice. The most current version will always be available on our website and at reception.
