Just a short walk away from Cae Du you will reach the majestic Llyn Dinas where you can go swimming, canoeing or paddle boarding on the lake. Or simply relax and take in the enchanting views.

Just less than a mile walk away there is the picturesque stone built village of Beddgelert. Here is where you can enjoy shops, craft stores, cafes, pubs, ice cream and a pizzeria!

Once in Beddgelert village, why not visit the stone monument of 'Gelert', the legendary faithful hound of the medieval Welsh Prince Llywelyn the Great. Just simply follow the footpath along the banks of the river Glaslyn.

At Cae Du we are very lucky to be within easy walking distance to an award winning family attraction, which isn't one to miss! Adventure underground through the old workings of a Victorian Copper Mine which closed in 1903 and was a main supplier of minerals in Wales. It also has a cafe, museum and a children's playground to make the most of your day out.

Catch the scenic railway from the station on our doorstep at Beddgelert. You can choose to go to Caernarfon or Porthmadog both with layover times for exploring. Alternatively, hop on one of the many other alternative routes through the beautiful sights of North Wales.

Beddgelert is well known for the many exciting mountain trails nearby, especially in the forest! Don't have a bike? No problem, hire a mountain bike or even an electric bike for that extra adrenaline rush!

Enjoy a day at the waterfalls and crystal clear pools. The perfect way to cool off on a sunny day!
