Gelert's Grave
Once in Beddgelert village, why not visit the stone monument of 'Gelert', the legendary faithful hound of the medieval Welsh Prince Llywelyn the Great. Just simply follow the footpath along the banks of the river Glaslyn.

Sygun Copper Mines
At Cae Du we are very lucky to be within easy walking distance to an award winning family attraction, which isn't one to miss! Adventure underground through the old workings of a Victorian Copper Mine which closed in 1903 and was a main supplier of minerals in Wales. It also has a cafe, museum and a children's playground to make the most of your day out.
Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railway
Catch the scenic railway from the station on our doorstep at Beddgelert. You can choose to go to Caernarfon or Porthmadog both with layover times for exploring. Alternatively, hop on one of the many other alternative routes through the beautiful sights of North Wales.
